Hi, If you are looking to rent privately, you are allowed as many bedrooms as you like. But will still only be paid the shared rate of LHA, if that is the rate you're entitled to. However, if you receive daily living PIP, or are aged over 35, then you will be entitled to the one-bedroom rate of LHA anyway. Legally a studio flat is a 0 bedroom property. But not classed as shared accommodation as long as it self contained with private toilet and kitchen facilities. 1

Thanks for letting me know! I do claim daily living component so I'll get back to searching for a studio flat. 1
