I won an appeal today for pip putting me on standard rate for daily living component,
im still very confused ,
i live in oldham ol4 area
and due to loss of monies I've had to give my rented property up and move in with my daughter whom doesn't claim anything other than child benefit,
when I changed my address I was immediately put on universal credit a month ago

Hi betmartin and welcome
Your award has been backdated to october 2016 so your money should also be back dated to then
Have you received the decision letter from DWP yet ?
You say your award is to january 2018. Look carefully at the Decision letter. Normally you should have a review date or a date to submit a new claim, which for short award would be about three months before the end date. Which would make it now.
You need to get urgent f2f advice on this from CAB or similar if possible
Please come back with any questions and we will do our best to help

Oh yes I can see that now it’s april 20180

Phew !
That means that you need to re apply in january or your claim will end in april. Even three months is pushing it to get a new claim through before your old one ends

It is important to start to prepare now for your new claim
you can help yourself if you understand the points system, the descriptors and the criteria for an award and a good place to start is the self test on the B&W site

Also have a good look at the info on this site to help get prepared
