winter is a time for the garden to have a rest few hellebores and some cyclamens in hanging baskets thats about it till the spring then its a few daffs tulips and fritillaria then it starts all over again

it does seem to be a tad warmer where we are i cut a ragged dahlia down to the ground couple of weeks ago and its shooting up again

Now things are dying back a bit.. Health has had a setback meaning I've had to put off my usual sowing/sweeping, etc at this time of year. The bulbs are waiting to go in, a local gardener has helped me pot up some plants. And the Outlaw harvested the last of the potatoes this week.0 -
gotta love this time of the year flowers still blooming had none stop flowers on some dahlia tubers since the end of june and a couple of straggled ones i cut back have regrown and flowered been a good year in somerset soon be time to cut a lot back and prepare the soil ready for next season one thing i noticed this year there were less slugs eating the plants
