What to do if UC has miscalculated the amount you are to receive.

    My nerves are shredded over the whole thing. I'm dreading my upcoming pip form arriving, too. I dont think dread is even close to how I feel. Anxiety and panic choking me. Esp if i get the pip form closer to Christmas like last time. Omg the stress. Luck to us all. Xx

    I received a letter in my journal saying I was owed £423.27, but no mention of my SDP…I've asked them to explain. This is in my payments (although I've only been paid £13 on Friday). Does this look correct?

    Yes that looks correct.

    SDP doesn't exist under Universal Credit (or for that matter New Style ESA).

    You are receiving Transitional Protection, which is added if your total UC award is lower than legacy benefits at the time of transfer.

    UC Standard Allowance + LCWRA pays more than ESA Support Group (£823.41 a month rather than approximately £700), so your TP payment then tops up the difference.

    Transitional Protection does reduce over time as other elements go up or new elements are added to your award.

    (You were entitled to LCWRA element at the time of transfer, so this does not itself reduce your TP).

    Yes as advised now you've had the underpayment letter, payment will follow within a few working days.

    UC is quite confusing at first, but in time you do get used to how it works.

    It's usual for posters here to require lots of support within the first month or two, you see the same names popping up, then those people dissappear, presumably having gotten used to UC and able to manage on their own.
