'Something is coming'

I know I'm not alone in feeling this way, but for some time now, years probably, but it's gotten worse in last few months, it just feels like SOMETHING is coming. We're building towards something and I don't know what.

I've wondered if it's my autistic pattern recognition that's got my spidey senses tingling and working overtime but I don't know. Things just don't feel right. Does anyone else feel like this? What have you put it down to?

I've noticed a few autistic people saying the same thing recently, I've been feeling that odd "Something isn't right" feeling too, but I've put it down to the news and social media being a total firestorm recently and it's just getting a bit tiring to read.

I think we need to fill the internet with nice things and good news. 😁

The world is in a mess. Multiple countries are at war. The UK and USA are both deeply divided on political topics that affect all of our lives. Meaning that whatever choices are made, half of each country will be unhappy about it. The world can't even seem to agree on environmental decisions that affect everyone on the planet. I do think the world is completely different now to how it was 10+ years ago. And I don't have any answers as to how that could be improved right now.

Sadly I am just having to take the 'ignorance is bliss' approach, and keep away from news and the internet as much as possible.

Just run for high political office, they can't see a thing! Why, you can go from a Tottenham estate to hob nobbing with the US 'beardo'.

Who says betraying all your principles has a negative side? 🤷‍♂️

I am not neurodiverse, but I have felt it. That quiet unease. The sense that something is off, and no one in charge wants to name it.

Then I read The National Security Strategy 2025 for the British People in a Dangerous World. It emphasises shared responsibility, community resilience and public adaptability in the face of threats. In other words, good luck, look out for each other.

Measured against the strategy, it is clear they know they cannot fully control what is coming. Little wonder I feel uneasy, as I cannot think of one political figure who could save us.

I definitely swing between 'ignorance is bliss' and 'noooo I need to know everything so I can prepare'

But then I remember I can't really prepare or change anything anyway, so I'm getting worked up for something I can't control or have power over

I saw a thing the other day with someone saying something like "If you ever wondered what you would have done during the rise of an historic authoritarian regime, look at what you're doing now" and I feel guilty, but also kind of understand how people slept-walked into things back then and how it came about.

I hate how divisive it's allowed everyone to be and it makes me feel quite sad

Thank you for sharing this @MW123, I haven't read it all yet but had a skim read and have book marked it for later. Quiet unease is a great way to describe the feeling! Like something is off but can't quite name what.

It's worrying that many of our world leaders feel intent on widening the divide and stirring trouble 😥

thank you @Passerby, I agree with so much of this! Weirdly I found your opening part about the world not being static kind of reassuring ❤️

I'm projecting my mental illness all over the place here, but my pathological experience is what I see becoming more and more the norm....

DEPRESSION: Increasing feelings of (and reality of) helplessness and hopelessness in the 99% as the world is run by the 1%.

PSYCOSIS (which is a disconnect from reality): Increasing numbers of people believing im fake news and other fake information, which will likely be made worse with AI.

    PARANOID DELUSIONS: Conspiracy theorists.

That's how I see things falling apart in the world, and I know I'm projecting my own mental health struggles. But that's the perspective I have. Does that make sense to anyone?

There's talk of it being a photo of 3I/Atlas @Chris75_ but many people are debunking it already as a manmade object, guessing it's an image of the rover itself. I've not looked into it too closely though and we wont find out until the US government is back to work.

I can't say much as I'm being censored on here, but this image is the first image of 3I-Atlas when it made its closest approach to Mars last week. It also comes from the exact direction and point of the Wow signal back in 1977.

I've been reading more about the Wow signal and stuff lately and have seen so much speculation about all of this, and 3I-Atlas and it's genuinely fascinating!! Especially alongside all the UAP disclosures ❤️

I am reminded of the numerous USSR Venera probes, the pics they took on the surface of Venus. Not the image itself, rather the fact that the camera failed to properly deploy, and we see pics of the landing craft's base, and very little of the Venetian surface.

It certainly looked like the reflection from a deployed lander or suchlike. There are so many variables at play with space travel!

I couldn't pass this thread by. I don't keep up with the news very much but the only thing I have heard in current news that might be happening soon was the Rapture and that was in the media and meant to happen in September to them but it didn't. These things cannot be given a date so I don't know where they got that from.

The Rapture is about Jesus meeting his selected disciples before the 2nd Coming of Christ. Not trying to make this a Biblical thread..but that is the only event where I have heard that something is coming anytime soon.
