My scooter broke down twice in the span of five days. She just died. Wouldn't budge an inch.. It's the first time she broke down since I bought her a year ago. I got her back from the shop yesterday. Now I've lost faith in her. It feels like I just had a falling out with a very close friend, so much so that I've changed her pronoun from 'it'. How can I not take this personally when she has become my feet and legs?

That's a big betrayal from a faithful friend @StarryEyed! Hopefully she/it can redeem themselves with some good behaviour after being fixed. Maybe just start with some short trips and build up? It's hard to trust after something like that, especially when you rely on it so much for your independence. Fingers crossed for smooth running from here on!

@Rosie_Scope , more than anything it really shook me up that I've become so emotionally attached to my scooter. I'm new at this. Your advice is perfect, to ease back into the relationship gently. Thank you for your sympathies and advice.
P.S. Today's grumble is insomnia π₯±

I have to go to the doctors early today for a blood test

Very well Santosha, thanks for asking. I hope you can say similar?

I don't mind needles, are you the same? The only problem i find is when the nurse can't find a vein, and they bruise my arm in the search!

I'm pleased to say I can say similar, thank you! π Just recovering from Covid for the 4th time π but nowhere near as bad as I've had it before thankfully π« π

Oh that's annoying @Amberpearl but at least they've got you in again soon and you're not waiting months.
Hope you recover quickly @Santosha12 I'm at the end of week 2 of covid recovery and this strain is exhausting! My grumble is I was woken up to the sounds of my dog being yelled at because he needed a bath asap and my cat was being sick on the carpet. So that was fun.

@Albus_Scope Oh dear, sounds chaotic. Hope things have settled down.
My grumble is when my fatigue is bad I find it really difficult to just relax and let it be. Iβm always thinking about what I should or could be doing π

Thanks very much @Albus_Scope, I do hope you're on the right side of getting rid of it and wish you well. It's only affected my throat really, felt like I'd swallowed a razor blade and temperature all over the place, mostly c 38/39 but went down to 35 5 the other night. The only 'benefit' was I couldn't vape π .

I totally get that @Kookee I always try to remind myself that the thing will still be there when I'm ready to tackle it. Self care always comes first!
I'm definitely over the worst of it now thanks @Santosha12 I also had the throat issues at the start of it, much to the amusement of workmates who got to speak to me during that first week. π2 -
I'm so cold today.

My grumble
Trying to sit on the toilet with a painful knee

@Amberpearl have you tried one of those raised toilet seats so you don't need to flex your knee as much, which might be less painful?
