Are you a council tenant? That is unacceptable in the extreme.

It isn’t always easy to complain if it isn't in your nature, but my first step would be to attend a surgery with one of your local councillors; that's what they're there for.

I wouldn't stop there either. It's amazing what a HofC headed letter can do, get right on to your MP, if in a devolved nation, an MSP, MS, MLA would be better than going straight to your MP (Assuming housing is a devolved matter in your country).

A warm welcome from me too @davina321

I'm very sorry this has happened to your home. Have you spoken to the council about this? Or do you have any support to help you like a housing support officer?

From what you've described it also sounds like it may be worth contacting your MP about this as this is such a serious issue, causing you health problems and nothing has really been done to help you yet!

    Hi,

Interior decoration such as blinds will be your responsibility unless they were specifically mentioned on the inventory when you started the tenancy.

Tbh, the windows will cost thousands of pounds. Paint and blinds are only a very small amount compared to those. I don't think it is worth refusing thew work for that reason.
