Hi, my name is hobbit7016! Any advice on applying for attendance allowance?
Age 70 and profoundly deaf since my forties, did get DLA but failed to get PIP. I have since been advised that I qualify for Attendance Allowance but I know from past experience that it is how the form is completed not how disabled you are. Would appreciate any advice on completing the form. I have been advised to keep a diary of how my deafness affects me. I don't sign but get by with 2 powerful hearing aids (NHS) and lip reading. Thanks

A few links for assistance to fill in the forms, I did a supportive statement for my mums application and having read guidance beforehand, I focused very much on how the support I give relates to medical needs rather than social care support.
