You've got this 💪 It's so hard not to keep scrolling through social media, it's very addictive! I hardly use any social media now and I feel much better for it. It'll do you so much good to not read the news articles as all they do is create fear and they're not accurate.
Have you got something else you can do to fill the time? Any hobbies?

That's great about therapy! I'm glad you were able to open up - it'll help them understand how to support you better. I love colouring books. I found a cosy christmas one the other day and can't wait to start that 😊

I came off social media over Christmas last year till new year.. And it was the best thing I did..
I can effectively come off now.. I've backed up my data and got someone else now to cover the volunteer Admin I do for a local charity..
The few people I interact with regularly CAN contact me.. I was late to FB.. and probably should leave now.. Its just full of trolls, the ignorant, and right wing rhetoric..0 -
Ok thanks

I have never used Facebook of instagram. You do not need them. Enjoy us in the real world

I don't use them either.

There is a bit of a cutting my nose off, to spite my face aspect to me never using fb etc. I used to enjoy interacting with others on the Muscular Dystrophy UK forum, but they closed it down. I know alot of those people now use fb for their chatting.

I believe that many of us overlook the fact that forums are also considered social media. Technology truly depends on how and why we use technology, not just if we are online or not.

If you give up your Nectar card, you just end up paying more for your shopping. Who do you think cares about your food shopping habits?

I find not having the social media apps useful. Or if you do, turn off all notifications!
I just use the websites via tablet or phone browser as and when I want to.
YouTube I watch on smart TV.
I have no notifications on Messenger or WhatsApp, apart from calls.
My phone gives a visual notification of SMS, or will ring with a call.
Basically I'm in control of my use and decide when I check for messages 👍🏻
