LEARNING TO SWIM
Hi Folks
I was born with right hemiplegia which is a form of CP.
I am a male in my lates 50s and thinking about learning to swim. Do you think it is too late now?
If not, would I need to look for an instructor with specific qualifications or should I just speak to someone at my local swimming baths?
Thank You

I think it's never too late to learn something new @Manjinder! Go for it!!!!
It may be best to contact your local leisure centre first and ask if they do adult swimming lessons and explain that you're interested in learning to swim.I'm also going to tag our CP specialists as they may know more about this and if there is anything specific you should look out for @Lucy_Scope @Richard_Scope @SaraC_Scope

Hi @Manjinder
I completely agree with@Mary_Scope, It is never too late.
Any good instructor should be able to work with you and get you swimming. Contact your local centre about adult classes. Be really clear as to what you want so you get the most out of it. Also, check that the pool temperature isn't too cold. Cold is not great for our muscles!
