I saw a pair of Travel Fox from 1988 on Ebay. They were nearly £500!

My mum used to pay half the cost, I had to find the rest from my paper money. If Adidas torsion were costing £80 in the late 1980s, that must be equivalent to many hundreds now. I actually can't believe we paid those sort of prices. They were of a higher quality than trainers today, I am sure of it.

I remember my old man being angry at me spending £60 on a Manifesto t-shirt, a whole weeks wages!

I don't remember Travel Fox but I remember British Knights. I don't think I ever had a pair though. I remember having a pair of SPX trainers, I thought they were coolest looking pair of trainers ever at the time. I also had an SPX shell suit, a pair of black baggy jeans with the green bum (some also came with a red bum), Joe Bloggs tops, etc.

@Ross1975 just had to change a couple of words in your post as the filter didn't like them!

Travel Fox were white and tan, with Italian colours in there too. Only the really spoilt/rich kids had a pair of those!
