UC FORM *URGENT QUESTION* PLEASE?
On the UC claim form it oes not have an Option to declare *Living with Parents/Family.
On filling out the claim with my daughter on the *Housing part it asks "who lives with you" -
Does she of course include my details -?
But it makes it look as if I'm living with her.....instead of the fact that she lives at home with me, her Mum. *Hence why she doesn't need to claim for Rent or Council tax.
Is this correct that she Imcludes me as living with her?
I'm guessing she can make the living situation clear in the Journal once submitted?
As her Mum, I have my own UC claim.
Thank you for any advice.

Your daughter needs to record that no one lives with her. The reason for this question relates to the Housing Element of UC. If you are claiming this element as you pay rent then the amount awarded may be reduced if other people live with you. As she isn't going to be claiming the Housing Element this doesn't apply to her.

This question confuses a lot of people.
They'd only be interested if the claimant is living with dependant children, partner or non dependants.
None of those fit her situation.
The reason they don't ask is because they don't need to know if a claimant is living with parents as it won't impact the claim.
