They are sending these messages to lots of people, I got one but it didn't say anything about a phone call if you don't respond (i've ignored mine).
She can reply saying she isn't interested. She doesn't have to give a reason etc.

She was just a little overwhelmed she would love to try work but she struggles everyday and going through a lot at the moment her mental health gets really bad this time of year theres nothing on the message to say how long she has to reply by so can she take her time and maybe explain that she doesnt want th help right now she thinks putting a simple no isnt enough x

I would reply to make sure she isn't called.
"I'm not interested and I don't wish to receive a phone call about this scheme either "

It is voluntary, say 'no thanks', or nothing at all.
I personally wouldn't volunteer information I wasn't asked to provide.

It says voluntary but if she doesnt reply they will call how quickly should she reply cos shes too upset tj even look at her journal right now she had read about them doing this her mental health isnt the best at this time of year either x

Can you not post a few lines on her behalf? If it was me, I wouldn't even engage with them ( unless I was capable of being helped, which i'm not). If they call, just ignore that too. I doubt they would try repeatedly.

They have changed that message.
It never used to say they would call claimants if they didn't respond in the journal.
Previously I have advised to ignore the message. However I now agree with Kimi that we will all have to respond to it if we don't want to be called about it in future.

She only got the message yesterday it doesnt say when she has to reply or anything so wondering how long it would be before they try ring its just wierd its voluntary yet says if they dont hear from you they will try contacting u by phone not sure whashe needs to do she isnt ready for any help she hardly opens up to anyone including me shes bad at moment loss in family so she really doesnt need stressing out even more I just need to know how long I should wait to give them a reply from her the phone call she probably wouldnt answer if it was our of the blue ive seen a few messages like this all worded differently

I don't think you need to wait at all. You've read the message so can respond to it as soon as you like.
Only needs to say she wouldn't be able to complete any sort of work related activity at the moment, or words to that effect.

Personally, I can't travel or speak, so they'll struggle to get any 'engagement' beyond a journal message from me. 😐️

Second message today, exactly a month since the last one.
Doesn't say they'll phone me if I don't respond though.
If I get it again next month I'll be asking them to stop contacting me.
