But is it right to pay other peoples bills

Combi boiler just means you have one boiler that does both heating and hot water.
That electricity cost is ridiculous. The meter might be faulty, or you might be paying for next doors electricity. I don't see how you could possibly use that much without any of it being used on heating and hot water.😮
How many units of electricity does the bill say for last month?

@Biblioklept do you have a smart meter?
I’d recommend

You need to check how much you're paying per kilowatt for your electricity, as £153 is too much, unless you live in a relatively large house and are sharing it with a few other people.
I pay £30.02 per month for electricity, and I got over £450 in credit, which means my electricity consumption revolves around £30, as my credit doesn't fluctuate that much.
Once you've found out your tariff, try to compare it with what's currently on offer on the market.

wow cheap.

558.38 units I think it says on my october statement, I don't know if that's usual? I must admit I get super stressed with bills and haven't looked into them properly, I'm sure I can get it cheaper

£30 a month?!?!!?!?!? I'm starting to think there's a fault lol

First log into your account with your supplier and check the tariff you're on - the price per kilowatt and the standing charges per day, and then take it from there.

This kind of thing always happens to me. If I were to ask a neighbour about my energy costs, they would invariably state that they were only ten quid a week, or whatever. This has happened a number of times over many years.

It's not about asking anyone about their energy cost, or how much they pay per month. It's rather finding out how much you're paying per kilowatt and standing charges per day, which must be clearly stated in your account with your supplier. Then you can compare it with the current market rate or what other people are paying.
Never rely on the amount of money other people are paying per month. What counts is rather the price per kilowatt and the standing charges per day.
This is exactly how sales agents for energy suppliers or their partners in supermarkets and on UK high streets fool people. They're very reluctant to tell people the price per kilowatt. They rather tell people an attractive estimated amount per month, which is not what people would actually pay.

Just checked, and I payed £98.68 for October. That is electric and gas (Ecotricity)
I have 2 scooters and a powerchair to charge, I use my gas central heating when I need it, no rationing.
Green Electricity - 32.34p (per kWh) - 6 9.33p per day Standing Charge Rate.
Green Gas - 7.47p (per kWh) - 41.76p per day Standing Charge Rate.

I can't say whether £98.68 per month is reasonable, as I haven't got a clue about how much scooters and powerchairs consume.
You still need to check how much you're paying per kilowatt, and standing charges per day. These are what determine what you pay monthly.

Lot of people using foodbanks when they don't need to, saving money on groceries and then using the money for things like holidays.

Mate, I don't have to check anything, as I am not asking any questions. You are trying to provoke me and it won't work, have a nice day.

I have never used a food bank, but don't you need a referral? It's not just turning up and asking. I really don't know.

You must be paranoid about me! How on earth am I trying to provoke you!!

No, I wouldn't think that's usual for a gas & electric property.
I've just checked and mine was 375 units in October including heating and hot water.
It was only around 100 units for that month without heating and hot water.
I don't see how you can be using that much electricity as a single person, without any of it being on heat or hot water.
You might be able to find a cheaper tariff as well, but I would want to know where all these extra units are going before looking into the prices.

I average £38 per month just for electricity, im on a communal heating system/hot water which is £72 per month paid to the council for a 1 bed bungalow.

Your figures are in line with the current market rate.
