Today I picked up some Christmas tree decorations from Tesco (I've already got more than enough Christmas decorations at home, but I just can't resist continuing to pick up ones that I really like the look of).

The frog one kind of looks ugly, or at least I can see a lot of people thinking that, but strangely at the same time I really like how it looks, it's very unique and unusual and has a nostalgic look to it as well.

I think the toadstools in a jar one would look so much better if it didn't look so feminine, like I'd prefer it if there was no butterfly and the toadstools and ribbon were a different colour, but oh well.

The three on the right are made of glass which I find surprising, I didn't think glass ones were still being made because of them being a safety hazard (if they fall off the tree kids could step on them or whatever).

Also in Tesco were lots of hanging decorations which look summer themed and don't look Christmassy at all which I find odd, like ice cream cones, swan pool toy swim rings, sunglasses, donuts, etc.

Ha i love that frog decoration @Ross1975 !!!! Did they have any other ones similiar to that?

I agree that is a bit strange having summer themed decorations, it doesn't feel right to have a Christmas tree with sunglasses on unless maybe you live in Australia!

There were lots of glass ones, I don't think there were any similar to the frog one, but I remember one that was just as quirky which was Father Christmas inside a transparent dome in a space rocket.

I recently picked up a limited edition gingerbread Pepsi, it's quite good.

@Ross1975 your froggie is delightful! Do you think it might be a variation of a nutcracker toy? Gingerbread Pepsi sounds like something they would serve in heaven! Do you like Christmas? I'm crazy for everything that is Christmas. Absolutely everything.

Hey StarryEyed. Yes, it could possibly be a variation of a nutcracker toy, I never thought of that. I really like the giant nutcracker toys that are in the shops, I've not bought one though as I just don't really have room, my Christmas decoration collection is already pretty big.

I love Christmas and I can't wait to get my decorations up, I have lots of cool ones.

Nice to put a voice to a name!! I might have to post one of me saying 'curly wurly'. That used to crack up my relatives in Lancashire.

A wee bit 'Schutzstaffel' that image? A would-be Democrat State Senator in the US is having trouble with a similar tattoo atm.

I personally wouldn’t say it has that sort of connotation or context to the image. Skull and Crossbones has been around for hundreds of years. The last Jolly Roger flown on a mast was when HMS Conqueror sailed up the River Clyde in 1982.
You can buy t shirts with a similar image, or men with arthritis with Harley Davidson’s or Indian’s will have its as a logo for there motorbike group.

Taken a wee bit out of context and has no reference to the devision you speak of. Loosely based on the Jolly Roger, last flown on a mast when HMS Conqueror Sailed up the River Clyde in 1982. Many men in America have it on the back of biker vest’s when riding a Harley or an Indian Motorbike. The Jolly Roger has been around for centuries.

I was just my initial impression, what with the skull appearing to wear a Stahlhelm. Dont biker gangs like a bit of Schutzstaffel memorabilia for shock value?
