LCWRA
Hello could anyone explain or help me please?
I provided UC with a fit note on the 12/07/25 then another on the 04/08/25 (valid for 6 months) I went for an assessment on 13/10/25 and the decision was made on the 20/10/25 (I know it was rather quick)
The letter of confirmation isn't giving me much to go off. If I was to recieve any payments when would they start? I'm confused about the 3 months period from the first fit note provided? Could someone please help me? I have rang to try and get more information but I wasnt being clear with my question, I dont think. Hope ive been clear enough on this post? Hopefully!
Oh and finally my assessment period dates are 20th to the 19th and payments made on the 26th..if this helps?
Thankyou for reading, have a wonderful day 😊

Lcwra has a waiting period of three full assessment periods before LCWRA is added to your award. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.
Using the information given, my estimate of your waiting period:
June/July : Partial Assessment Period not counted for waiting period
July/August: AP 1
August/September: AP 2
September/October: AP 3
October/November: Eligible for LCWRA element
November 26: First LCWRA element paid.
Even though you've received the decision letter, UC need time to process everything.
If LCWRA element is missing from your next statement, I estimate you are owed one month.
Backpay is calculated separately and usually takes several weeks at least. You'll know when this has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed, and a new version of the statement added.
Payment will then follow within a few working days.

Thankyou @Kimi87 ive just checked my journal for any updates and I gave the wrong information, I do apologise. I've had fit notes on the following dates: 31/01/25 until 28/03/25, 28/03/25 until 31/07/25 and finally 31/07/25 until 31/01/26. Everything else is correct in relation to my assessment period dates and the dates I went for the assessment and when I got the decision :) could you advise me again please with the new dates given. I am sorry for misinforming.
Thankyou, have a great day 😀

Are the dates you gave me the start dates on Fit Notes, or the dates you handed them into UC?
For the LCWRA waiting period it's the date they were given to UC that counts.
Any gaps will impact on when UC start your waiting period from.

@Kimi87 Yes they was the start dates that have been accepted by an agent. The dates ive reported them are: 04/02/25 (January to March), 12/07/25 (March to July) and 04/08/25 (July to January)
Thankyou for replying to ke again. And sorry for any confusion.

If you've not reported March to July until 12th July then you have a big gap, also 4/8/25 for July Fit Note which is another gap.
Any gap impacts the start of your waiting period. UC generally don't accept backdated Fit Notes as counting from the FN start date. They count them as the date you submit them.
Now UC don't always follow their own guidelines so my advice is only ever an estimate, but knowing you've had no gaps since 4/8/25 my estimation is:
August/September Partial Assessment Period not counted for waiting period
September/October AP 1
October/November AP 2
November/December AP 3
December/January Eligible for LCWRA element
January 26th First LCWRA element paid.
