Talks of moving to social housing due to disability
I’m hoping someone can help me understand a couple of things.
my husband is now disabled following a horrific RTA. I gave up my job to become is full time carer and recently found out that he got knocked out of the system 16 months ago accidentally hence why I have had no help whatsoever nor has he .
After being assured he is back in the system , things have started moving quickly with various appointments but I was told that he would be priority for social housing as we live in a house (private rent) and as he cannot get up the stairs, we need a bungalow.
Having looked into this, it asks on application how much my kids earn and also want details of current landlord.
My kids do help us financially a lot but would there earnings affect us getting a home which I am not overly hopeful with happening due to the lack of properties available and would our landlord be contacted to say we are on the list ?
Many thanks

I would recommend speaking to the housing provider as policies vary, and information given here might apply to the posters area but not yours.
You can also look for a local advice agency, select the Housing option from this link.
