Don’t judge

I nearly burst something this morning with laughter.

I am at the hospital and there is a traffic warden parking guy as part of the parking is on the highway.

A nice 1200cc motorcycle pulls up and stops in disabled parking. This idiot of parking guy runs up saying not parking there. Motorbike guy says mate give me a minute. Within a minute the parking attendant prints off a ticket. Next thing I see it the biker doing something to his leg. Then he stands up and says to the parking guy. If you don’t Pi55 off mate I am going to club you to death.

It made my day.

Prob highlight of his day seeing a motorcycle in a disabled spot, he'll be dreaming of that ticket opportunity for a while.

Thats The parking attendant in a bad mood for the rest of the day. He will be scouring the carpark to make up for his lost ticket 😂 . Sometimes it really does pay not to assume 🙄.

I don't for a minute dispute that there are lots of militant traffic wardens but for balance, I'd like to share my own story!

My grandmother died a couple of months ago. My dad was at work when he got the call to come and see her at the end; his boss told him to just go in the work van.

When he arrived he wasn't thinking properly and drove into the multi-storey car park. Within a few seconds there was an unbelievable screeching sound and a clattering… he'd forgotten he wasn't in a car, and was higher than the hight restriction for the car park.

The van wouldn't move as it was stuck, and the ladder clamps had come off the roof and the ladders had come loose. Dad in a panic just redlined it in 1st gear and it came unstuck but then he couldn't reverse or go forward to the next section…

A few people came running out of the parking office shouting, but then an older traffic warden turned up. This gentleman told the others to sod off, and told my dad to leave the van where it was and go to his mother; he'd sort it out.

Later when everything was a bit stabler we were back sorting the van out (it sounded much worse than it was, just needed new ladder stuff) and he came up to us for a good 20 mins to just chat about my granny.

When we've sorted the estate out we're planning to track him down as we want to thank him generously

I dont understand why you are pleased that a parking warden was hit for stopping a non disabled person ...it seems...parking in a disabled spot. Or are you saying the biker did provide proof of invisible disability...a genuine term.?.

And saying Im going to club you to death is a vile threat from a vile mind. People are getting so aggressive and hateful in our difficult times.

I provided the polite language from the traffic warden. If you had heard the shouting from the traffic warden who was so out of order and trying to embarrass the disabled biker. The traffic warden believed that by shouting he could win the argument. If you read the post. At no time did I state that the aggressive traffic warden was assaulted. Where do you say that the biker was disabled? And so entitled to park in a disabled bay? Taking up a space that someone else may really need in order to park near the hospital entrance? Your writing is not clear

However I DID misread the bit where you say that the warden was not hit…the biker was "doing something to his leg" I assumed you meant the warden's leg, ie an assault. Apologies for my part in the misunderstanding there.

The threat to club someone to death is a vile thing, I am not retracting that, and if the person was known to the warden they could have reported it to the police. They have to take death threats seriously.

I don't think there is any point continuing this saga. Could we all not be civil to eachother and not wish harm to anyone.

That rage may spill over into out of control actions one day. Best wishes, Ostia

the biker is classed as disabled as he has a prosthetic leg, just the traffic warden did not look before he started. [Removed by moderator] we have a lot here on 12 week traffic wardens courses. You should hear them shout.
