Unemployment insurance
Hi
Myself and hubby are on UC lcwra group (hubby) we also get new style esa paid separately from UC. When and if they get rid of new style esa and change it to unemployment insurance paid for 12 months. Will we lose money and will my hubby be made to look for work?
The whole welfare changes is causing so much stress and anxiety my life as been taken over with the changes that are coming. I can't sleep, I'm crying all the time I'm just so scared that we will lose our home.

No and no.
UC works by adding up entitlements, then making deductions.
Your UC entitlement would remain the same and the NS ESA deduction wouldn't happen.
So if you lost NS ESA then UC would make up the difference. He would still be in the LCWRA group for UC.
Please do remember that most proposals don't end up happening, they get amended or dropped along the way.
Life is hard enough when unwell without worrying over things that might not happen.
The only changes to worry about are confirmed changes.

Hi,
Thanks kimi87 I hope you would see my comment.
Just another question would we be put onto the unemployment insurance or not sorry for being thick, or just be on UC.
