Not sure what you are trying to ask. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition causing widespread pain, something to do with the signals from the central nervous system. Osteoarthritis is a separate illness; it is degenerative and is normally due to wear and tear on the bones. It causes pain, stiffness, and swelling. The two, as far as I know, aren't related, but a person can suffer from both at the same time.

Hello and thank you for your warm welcome. I am currently off sick from work due to the conditions I mentioned before and also I have other health issues. I finally had my OH meeting a couple of weeks ago. My manager was very slow to get this in place, as I went off sick at the end of June. I kept asking her for any updates and rarely did she get back to me which was frustrating. So , now my full sick pay has come to an end and I was short in my wages this month. I am now she tells me on half pay. I have tried without success in the past week to get any contact from my union! Nobody has contacted me still and I have called them twice. Needless to say I am feeling very alone with all of this. I have said that due to my health issues that I wish to be considered for ill health retirement as after the oh meeting I had the meeting with my manager. She tells me I now have to have a meeting with HR. I need advice please on what I maybe able to claim through any benefits? I am 65 next March and a single lady. Please help me with what I need to do now? Allie

If your union aren't responsive, you could contact ACAS. https://www.acas.org.uk/

I shall call them first thing tomorrow, really appreciated
