Can I rent out my flat?

hello everybody.


does anyone know if I rent out my flat  is this claseed as

a working income?


I am  on incapacity benfit or as now known as  esa

    Hi steve_1234 and welcome to the community.

    As long as you have the right to rent your your flat, yes it would be considered as income. However some of the income could be ofset by expenses, I would definately recommend you get some professional advice, especially if you plan to manage the letting yourself.

    Rarely what you get for rent is what is in your pocket/bank account as available money.
