I have £400 credit on my account, the lady said for me to fill a form in for me to get it in my bank.
Do I let UC know , and will it effect my uc

Hi,
This won't affect your UC. It's not counted as income. You don't need to tell them.
It will count as savings if you haven't spent it by the final day of your Assessment Period. If you have less than £6000 total savings then you don't need to tell them. If you have between £6,000-16,000 total savings then you should declare that on the final day of your AP.

Your Assessment Period is not the same as your payment date.
If you look at the top of your UC statement it should tell you what the Assessment period is.

My first statement says 29Oct to 28 nov

Thank you. Your AP will be 29th to 28th of each month from now on. So if you ever need to update savings, that should be done on the 28th of the month as that is the final day of your AP. 🙂
