ESA deductions
I was getting 244.65 esa per week plus 48.5 support component and 21.20 severe disability payment. This is 1362pcm. Plus 462.11 pcm rent so 1824.29. Is this the figure I use when calculating what UC pay me and figuring out if I am worse off or not?

@SATC Your calculation seems to be correct. I looked into it and got different figures but I am not an ESA expert.

Hi @SATC - & welcome to the community. Your calculations are correct. Your ESA must have included an IR-ESA top up as you also have the enhanced disability premium of £21.20 a week for a single person.
£1362.18 +£462.11 rent does indeed amount to £1824.29 pcm.
Remember that your IR-ESA will only have run on for 2 weeks (I presume you have recently migrated to UC), & that you will then continue to receive your ESA every 2 weeks (£281.10) which is £609.05 a month. You receive this, but this is the amount that will be deducted in full from your UC every month.
