🎄Christmas movies?
Have you watched any Christmas movies so far this year? Are there any you come back to again and again?
I've promised my kids we'll watch a movie with a hot chocolate tonight, but with very different age ranges (adult to primary school-aged) it can be difficult to find something they will all enjoy.
What are some of your favourite Christmas movies and has anyone seen any new ones this year?

My two favourites that go for pretty much any mood I'm in (I have many 😊) and that I think are enjoyable for all ages are "Elf" and "The Grinch" with Jim Carrey.

It has to be Home alone One and Two

Great shouts @StarryEyed!
Elf particularly, I can't believe it came out in 2003. I don't think my youngest has seen it yet either.

Elf is listed as PG on IMDB, but I can't imagine why. 22 years ago?! Well I still get lost in the joy and the laughter and the silliness and the corniness 😁

Indiana Jones or a James Bond film.

It's in debate as to whether it's a Christmas movie or not, but Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Brilliant Movie

I've not seen anything new yet this year. But I always come back to Muppets Christmas Carol and Elf. In previous years I've also enjoyed the film Klaus, that's a good one for most ages. Arthur Christmas is fun too!

I really enjoy The Grinch!!

So glad the BBC thinks so highly of their licence fee payers. Anyone know what the 21:00 Christmas Day movie is? Well, and please try not to get too excited - Jaws!
To my mind, that's pretty much an insult offering. Thank goodness for the radio, that's all I can say!

I don't know about you @Chris75_, but for me there's nothing more Christmassy than a giant man-eating shark 😁

😆😆
Sounds like the Grinch is at the helm of the BBC.
This is one of my absolute faves for Christmas, generally rated 14+ ...

It was a decent enough action movie in its day, but who hasn't seen it a dozen times since it's release in 1975?
We don't all have satellite tv etc. I think terrestrial tv has enough rubbish content, i certainly don't intend to pay for extra rubbish.

The shark film any day! Hugh Grant makes my skin crawl.

Me too! Yuck!!! But the rest of the cast ❤️🥰❤️
I'm watching it now. I don't have kids in my life, so I've never thought about whether it's kid appropriate until now. I think not! But like I said I don't have kids in my life so maybe I'm not a good judge.

Me neither. It will just be me and Gus as usual, doing our everyday stuff.

It's a classic but not exactly Chrimbo fodder. It does seem strange for it to be on on Christmas night. What next? Freddy Kruger?

I have no problem with the premise of the film, only the fact that thd BBC are treating viewers with contempt. They could only have shown more, if they had decided to show 'The Posiedon Adventure' from several years before. They don't even try to compete with all the satellite channels, or whatever they are called.

I like the Scrooge movies

'That Christmas' on Netflix. It's a cartoon type film but we all enjoyed it.
