Charger Installation on Motability Question
Does anyone know if you get an EV home charger installed with via Motability. Do they remove it if you end your contract?

Hi,
The charger becomes your property once it's been installed.
They do not remove it and you do not have to return it to them.
If you move home then you may need to pay for someone to remove the charger privately, or just leave it if the landlord/buyer are content with that.

Personally i'd love my next motability vehicle to be an EV however living in sheltered accommodation with zero possibility of a home charger ever being installed i along with millions of other people living in flats etc are resigned to driving ICE cars.

MeHappy I have just leased a Hybrid from Mazda on the Motability scheme so no home charging needed for me. Hope that helps in the future for you. x

Hi,
If you wouldn't be able to charge the car legally (without cables across the pavement for example) then you will not be eligible for a wall charger.
