backdating claim
I am currently employed in 2 roles for the same company. I have been working reduced hours since October due to ill health and this is now permanent and I will just be doing one role. I didn't need a fit note for my employer as they paid full pay for that time. I know I have enough contributions to claim but can I back date the claim to October if the gp will back date the fit mot to that time.

Hi @shepherd86 It's possible to make a backdated claim (but only up to the 3 months) which is around October/November as you've mentioned. You will likely need to get the fit note backdated as you've mentioned.

I Was receiving full pay which was above the limit for permitted earnings but as of this month that will change. Can I still backdate the claim

If it was above the limit then you won't be able to claim for that period unfortunately.

My new contract with reduced role and hours starts this month so I think I should be able to put in my claim now as I will only earn £800 per month. My only concern is that I wasn't paid statutory sick pay as my employer paid full pay for that period.
