Universal credit review after declaring DLA
Following on from my recent post I've declared my son receives DLA and did all the appropriate changes of circumstances but I have now been notified by uc that I need to do a review and upload the past 4 months of bank statements. Is this normal? Is it so they can see he receives dla? I've uploaded the bank statements but I was just concerned that as soon as I declared it they want to do a review?
I've had reviews before so I know what to expect I was just concerned. Thank you

Hi,
Usually 4 months worth of statements is the random review rather than having been triggered by a change. So it might just be coincidence, or they might be using 'any excuse' to trigger these reviews now. Either way, it shouldn't be any worse than your previous reviews.

Ah ok thank you, I just assumed it was so they could see verification that he does receive DLA which is proven on the statements but it does make me anxious the whole process
