I don’t want my mum as my appiontte I want my partner to be

I am moving out and I need my partner to be my appointee as I’m moving in with him and I don’t have the best relationship with my mum I manage my own bank account but can’t manage my own benifits when it comes to pip assessments reviews ect I’m on pip and esa can anyone help I have no idea were to even begin with it all as only my appiontee can contact the esa and pip and do they come out to see you ?
Any advice or support I really appreciate thank you

    Hi @jadehenderson and a warm welcome to the community from me!

    You can ask the DWP to change your appointee if you're not happy with your mum and would like your partner to be your new appointee.

    The DWP will probably visit you and your appointee but you'll be sent a letter with the date of this visit in advice and once the visit is over, they'll send you another letter if they decide you can change your appointee. Hope that makes sense!
