Carer Allowance and Universal Credit.
I am currently on Carer Allowance and looking after someone, if I was to look into getting Universal Credit, would my Carer Allowance be converted into the Carer Element of Universal Credit or would it continue to be paid as Carer Allowance.
I have other entaglements that specify Carer Allowance as a requirement, and if it was to be switched it would prevent them from applying any longer.

No the Carer Allowance wouldn't be converted it would continue to be paid and deducted £ for £ from your Universal Credit. You would state when you claim that you are a carer and would receive the Carer Element of UC.
