just need little advise
Im quite confused my pip awarded was to end 11 jan 2025 so sent in the renewal form 2024 june they extended it until Jan 2026 I did my telephone assessment just two weeks ago then I got a letter just saying that its awarded from may 2024 until Jan 2027 thats it Im so confused as I cant go through this all again its not my fault the delays are high

Hi,
Around 3 years is a fairly standard PIP award length.
If your conditions are stable and not likely to change then you can ask PIP to increase the length of this award using a Mandatory Reconsideration.
Usually they would look at the whole award again. But in this case they won't if you make it very clear that you are only challenging the length of the award, not the points.

It isn't one year. It starts from the date that your forms were sent off, as it's based on your conditions at that time. It's around two and a half years from June 2024 to January 2027.

the letter is only one page doesn't show how they came to the decision with their points or anything so thats why im confused they normally send you all there reasoning and a summary of how and why they came to the decision and then a list of all the points given
