Wheelchair users: have UK airports ever made you feel overlooked, dismissed
I’m doing my MA Psychology dissertation at the University of Dundee, looking at perceived ableism in UK airportsand how these experiences affect mental health and wellbeing.
If you’re eligible (see poster), I’d really appreciate 15–20 minutes of your time to complete an anonymous, ethically approved survey.
Research often talks about disabled people rather than centring lived experience — this is a chance to change that.
Every response genuinely matters. And if you can’t take part but can share, that helps more than you know.
Thank you 💙

I had a few unpleasant experiences but more than three years ago. One, assistance took me to the plane & stowed my wheelchair. Once in my seat, an air stewardess came over & said all aircrew had to leave the plane for refueling & they would be back after that had completed. Sat all alone, watching it all going on, it wasn't very nice at all, especially as I hate planes & flying.
Good luck with your study
