Claim Review Telephone Appointment
Hello, my husband and I have both had a text to say we will be having a UC claim review appointment and I am now worrying. I have nothing to hide , but am surprised by this.
I am his full time carer, and as far as I am aware we are on the right benefits - UC, ESA, CA, LCWRA .
Would anyone kindly be able to let me know why they are doing this? We are listed as not required to work or look for work so I am confused !
Many thanks

Please see this thread for information.
They are financial reviews and millions of UC claims are being checked (sometimes more than once) regardless of circumstances.

I've just got a message saying my phone call review is next Friday at 12 noon with Peter
Call will last up to 30 minutes
Please have your documents to hand to make sure your payment s are correct
I'm. Scared stiff
What will they ask

They'll run through some scripted questions about any properties, ISAs, Premium Bonds that kind of thing.
Then they may ask questions about transactions on your bank statements.

I know this may sound crazy (!) but we recently had to move to a bungalow as my husband could not walk up stairs . If I’m ask to produce bank statements , would they question the deposit money I got back from the old property ? It didn’t take my bank balance to anywhere near the £6k . Many thanks

It's possible you will be asked about that transaction.
My questions were silly, £12pm for window cleaner, and payments to water & energy company both of which have names containing water & energy.
