Does anyone drive with schizophrenia?

i would like to get my license back i handed it in a few years ago cause i was physically unable to drive but i feel like could now i would not be doing long distance driving and probably only to the shops anyone have experience with this would they even give my my license back?

My friend has schizophrenia. I know he can't drive due to the meds he's on. Can't remember what they're called. Zo something?

As you handed it in voluntarily it looks to me that at most you might need your GP to approve you as medically fit. I think handing it in was likely a good idea.

That's where I'd start, by asking your GP if they'd do that. They'll know all about any potential drugs issues and alternative drugs may be available.

Then it's pretty much just a D1 or M1 form from the DVLA.

I'm certainly not an expert, this is just advice.

hi sorry to bother you again was ur GP enough to get your license back or did you have to get evidence from a psychatrist? i no longer have a psychatrist have not for years
