I actually found it quite offensive. It seemed to make out that it was so easy to claim for Autism that I found myself having to switch it off and watch later in the evening. It just seemed like another attack on disabled people. As a parent to 2 adult children who are both autistic as well as other health conditions it makes me furious that they keep implying that Autism is a mental health condition when it actually isn’t. You can have mental health problems along side it but it’s a neuro developmental disorder that can’t be treated with medication and is also a spectrum disorder. Neither of my adult children could have interacted the way the participants did last night. Yet another programme seeking to demonise the disabled. I am actually afraid of what the future looks like for my 2 kids.

Why offensive?…It was just explaining what some thought, a freedom of speech. I admired the guy going on to be a chef.

Benefits in terms of reality, has always been a stop gap to get most people back on their feet and back to work, as the chef training guy explained.

I didn't think they were actors.

If they are then that will probably soon be exposed.

I thought it hilighted the extra cost of living with a disability and that disability benefits are inadequate to cover those costs.

It takes a lot to offend me, don't worry..Being ignorant myself, I thought autism had something to do with mental heath, so we live and learn.

I thought the lady with MS explained her position brilliantly to be honest.

As an Autistic adult, I've been called retarded and a LOT worse online and in person by right wing Gammons who need to shut up.

Like one time at work, I was called deaf C U Next Tuesday (connect the letters) because I was asking for help to change the battery in my hearing aid, and when a guy thought I couldn't hear him he called me that, and I DID hear him, he's lucky I did not knock him into the following Friday.
