hi
does anyone on here know roughly how long it is taking at the moment for a decision to be made on pip claims .
I was awarded DLA for life and recently had pip forms arrive.
At the Moment I am entitled to High rate Care and High rate mobility
thanks

Hi Debs and welcome
DLA and PIP have different criteria for awards and one does not mean that you will qualify for the other. PIP is an award based on functionality rather than condition.
Have you had an assessment ?
Normally decisions following assessment take 2-4 weeks
If you have had a f2f have you asked for a copy of the assessment report ?

I haven’t had an assessment yet.
ive heard so many bad thingsdebs -
There are many bad stories on the forums but the majority of good claims are never heard of
Preparation is one of the most important things to do for a PIP claim
You need to understand the points system, descriptors and the criteria for an award. There is lots of good info on this site and a good place to start ids the B&W self test
