Should I save up for a Mobility Scooter?

I have an account with the Shopmobility stall in Meadowhall, and have successfully driven a Mobility Scooter a few times, and quite enjoyed it… Thing is my general mobility's always been very limited, especially as I've got older and put weight on, so should I try and get a Scooter?

    Yes, but try to prioritise your finances - don't put saving ahead of food and heating.

    You can consider a (free) electric wheelchair from NHS - if you qualify - you will need to have an assessment via GP referral.

    If you think it will make your day to day activities easier and if it has a positive impact then I don't see any harm in saving up for one @SheffieldMan1976😊

    I have a SALSA MINI 2 - again with tilt and lift !

    It saved me the cost of Motability - £67 per week

    I even got an uprated battery - 80Ah rather than standard 60Ah

    It's ideal for me - I have a small downstairs wetroom - which is only 1.5 metres wide and the wheelchair spins on it's own axis rather than needing to reverse out of the room……
