Wheelchair accessible holidays

pet friendly is a must..

Anyone have any experiences/suggestions on where we can go?

Wheelchair Accessible online just seem to mean that you can get into the property and it has a Wet room, sometimes upstairs. Slight issue if your wheelchair bound.

Prefer to go direct to the provider rather than via a broker. UK for preference. We tried going through one of the main online disability brokers but they were charging nearly 2x the price than going direct.

We were thinking Cornwall/Devon. but at the moment we will be lucky to get what we can.

What we need is Wheelchair accessible, downstairs bedroom, preferably with a profile bed.. and dog friendly.

    Hi @PhilG111

I have stayed at a couple of different Haven Holiday Parks in West Wales and it looks like they have both accessible and dog friendly accommodation as well as parks in Cornwall and Devon. I know some people have there reservations about holiday parks but I've only had good experiences from there!

I also found a few different websites which are DisabledHolidays.com and holidaycottages.co.uk that I hope will be helpful😊

Hopefully some of our members will share their recommendations and experiences with you soon too

Have a look at Limitless Travel, they do exactly what you're after all over the UK.

    Hi Mary_Scope.

    Thank you for the suggestions.

I've used Disabledholidays.com and they were one that was charging near £4k for a Week in a location that was under £2k booking direct. Honestly I could travel to Europe via ferry and hire equipment to meet at the property and still come out under £2.5k.

I'll try and have a look again at Haven, but I suspect I'm several months too late to book.
