Neurodivergent dating for middle aged men?

Would this be at all possible? Obviously I'm 50 next month, and the nearest thing I've been on to a date was probably taking a girl from school to the Odeon in 1989, a bit sad innit?

Of course it is possible! Sounds like you're ready to get out there. Are you using any sites?

Unfortunately not, I've been scammed by dating sites before that advertise as being free then it turns out they're not.

That's such a shame! A lot of them these days can be quite costly from what I've heard, or you only get very limited access.

I've seen some speed dating alternative advertised locally. I couldn't think of anything more anxiety educing, but I can imagine if you're more confident it could be a really fun experience. Is that something you'd do?

All I will say is, s a bus driver, I got plenty of dates. With my physical disability and out of work? Nothing.

I am not saying it isn't possible, but one of the first 'break the ice' questions people ask is "so, what do you do?"

They aren't trying to embarrass you, it's just an obvious thing to ask.

I have met ladies 30+ to 50+, and none of them would have been looking for a guy with no money and no prospects. I would suggest specialised sites that cater for the disabled, as quite frankly, none of us need to be hurt further.
