Trust fund conversation banned?

I asked a question on here about protection of benifits after receiving a medical negligence pay out. For example buying a home. The thread was then stopped because it was against community guide lines by Adrian. What is the point in using this platform to get advise when the thread is stopped for no reason? How would a talk on financial support be against community guide lines?

    Hi

You acknowledge your thread was stopped because it went against community guidelines which means it wasn't stopped for no reason.

Did you not raise it with the forum team when it occured, back in August 2024?

No, I just noticed it now as I don't use this site much. It seems anything to do with making the most of your rights concerning finances is seen as dishonest or negative. The day I lost the ability to work was the start of a new life being constantly scrutinised and disbelieved. I didn't realise how hard it is for disabled people to get what they are entitled to. I just thought people would be at least allowed a conversation about it on here.

Sorry you feel that way but you were given a reason at the time by Adrian from scope.

Hi @Jamie78. Sorry that your discussion was closed. We only do this when things go against our House Rules. This does not mean that the post you created went against the rules, it could have been something in the comments.

Nobody knows how hard life is for disabled, until they sadly join the 'club' & I'm very sorry that you have, @Jamie78. The media whip up an anti storm & you can't help but take it personally & to be honest, more often than not, it's pensioners having a go. 🤯

As for your post, maybe try again. As @Rachel_Scope said, it may have been comments on the thread that got it removed.

    Hello @Jamie78

It sounds like there may have been a bit of a misunderstanding.

Your discussion from 2024 was closed due to some breaches of the house rules by other members, and the posts in question were removed. After a reminder was given, the discussion continued to escalate. As your question had already been answered, we made the decision to close the thread to prevent things from becoming more heated.

Just to reassure you, the discussion wasn’t closed because of the question you asked. At the time, you were encouraged to start a new discussion if you still needed any help or advice.

I hope this helps clear things up.
