Hi,

I last had a wca reassessment form arrive Jan 2024 (after being left alone for over 8 yrs) and i received a decision of LCWRA/support group mid April 2024, after being in the other group- cant remember what it was called. I have a long term condition ME/CFS for over 25 years. Its now coming up to 2 years since that last assessment decision and getting v v stressed about the possibility of another one arriving. Any thoughts? Is there still a huge backlog?

I have seen that "We are prioritising scheduled reassessments for people who are most likely to have had a change in their circumstances—for example, those with a short-term prognosis, for whom we can reasonably anticipate that a change in their health condition has occurred. That includes those with risks from pregnancy complications, or those who have recovered following cancer treatment."

Is this true? Does that mean i should be ok for quite a while longer then?

Hi @moosee. You're right, there's a massive backlog so it's unlikely that you'll be reassessed anytime soon. Try not to worry.

    Thank you for your reply.

Its v hard trying not to worry, impossible. The stress of reassessment is constant.

I completely understand @moosee. I'm in the same boat with PIP. I hope at least knowing that it shouldn't be any time soon is some comfort?
