The tree blossoms in my favourite park have just opened. They're actually quite tiny.....

@StarryEyed I actually live next to a small park and I rarely go which is really silly. I have anxiety so it can be hard for me to leave the house and working remotely doesn't help. Now the sun is starting to shine I should make a point of going for a walk round it everyday at lunchtime. There aren't any blossom trees there but there are gorgeous views and it's very peaceful. Do you go on walks often?

    Oh please do tell!

@Rachel_Scope the park is close to me too. It's taken me three years of building up slowly to finally go more often. My default is to stay in due to mental health problems, and the last 3 years it's even more tempting to stay home because of my physical disability. So I get it. By Jesse and Catherine posting pics and talking about their parks, it's giving me more encouragement and incentive to go. I triple love photography so taking pics there is also a great incentive. Do you like photography? Or maybe bird spotting or bird listening appeals to you? Maybe bringing a nice picnic would help or a cup of something yummy?

It is not silly! Nor 'should' you do anything, but yeah I get your point. Have thought of a bird app to motivate you to go outside?

Either way, I am cheering you on. Also if you are not up to it (yet).

@StarryEyed I actually love photography so that's a great incentive for me to go. My friend has a bird call app that seems quite interesting. She always know what birds are tweeting and I don't have a clue! There's a semi-secluded bench that I can see from my kitchen with a lovely view so maybe I could go there with a flask of tea.

@SmellyBin haha yeah ok I was maybe being a bit harsh on myself. It's so sweet of you to cheer me on. I'm genuinely feeling more motivated. Maybe later on I can post a pic of the park 😊

I know how you both feel. I jokingly asked my GP if I could have a prescription for a dog, for company, of course, not possible, but she said I should get one & a dachshund, as they didn't need much walking. She said it would be really good to get me out & talking to people. I did get a dachs, she's turned into a real companion, but she likes to walk & run & walk, her batteries never run out. That's why I take her to the parks, they're beautiful & safe. The talking part is annoying though, as too many people see her & want to say hello & have a chat. But, she is the reason I go out & it does me good. Here's some pics from yesterday…

The last two with the propped tree has a bright blue patch of flowers, but the phone camera doesn't do them justice, as they're really in your face. Just off out now, as it is a gorgeous, sunny & 16° 😎 Hope everyone else has the same & can get out for some vit D & warm the bones.

That's a beautiful park @JessieJ! I'm so glad you got a dog. I can understand why lots of people would want to introduce themselves to her, I bet she's very cute. Have you posted a pic of her on our Pets Corner?

It really is, @Rachel_Scope, an oasis in the city. 😎 She is rather cute, seems too cute to some πŸ˜† There are various pix on here of her & I thought they were on that thread, but there is one, after she'd been naughty. πŸ™„ Have just added one now. I had put some of my last two & my old pusser though.

@Rachel_Scope it sounds like that bench is calling you. 😊 Do let us know your progress. I made it out today with my feet on the grass and thought of you. There was a beautiful patch under a tree of long grass with wild flowers that were being feasted upon by wasps and bees.

The bee did a nectar nosedive, bottoms up!!! 😁

@JessieJ the magnolia tree is spectacular! And the propped tree is begging to be touched. Or hugged, as Catherine suggests we should do. I want to hug a tree but I'm too shy in public to do it. So yeah talkative people when you have a dog, right?? I dated a guy for many years who had a dog and I often really disliked taking her out because people would always ask the same frikkin questions all the time (the dog's name, age, breed, weight...). So the same questions was annoying at times. Also they assumed I had time to talk. Also just because I had a dog they assumed I was nice. Like way too many assumptions 😊

@SmellyBin your knitted band is adorable!!! I'm sure you'll win the hearts of your neighbours and hopefully some good book donations too. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ€žπŸΌ

Here is a pic off the net. It's the 2007 model, which became available in 2006, which is when I bought it. It took me five years to pay it off, and then I had to sell it. It was still in mint condition. 😭

In my pics I had pulled to the side of the road to take pics of the iced trees. It was amazing.

Where was that with the iced trees? Looks like it could be somewhere in America. I really like the colour of your car, burgundy is a nice colour.

Yes, I was on a trip in the States. The colour was between light burgundy and a light cherry red. Kind of like Christmas red. So I called her Cherriot (my cherry-red chariot). 😊
