My son (20)left hemi has just bought a car and has his driving test next week . we are currently looking for recommendations for car insurance without paying the earth .He will have a smart steering gadget but other than that just an ordinary automatic . He also gets PIP but doesn't qualify for motability as has standard mobility

    Hi,

    Have you tried the regular comparison sites to gauge prices? They should all have a section for health conditions and modifications. (If the steering gadget is fixed to the car and not easily removable then it counts as a modification for insurance purposes).

    The only insurer I can think of that would specifically cater to both young drivers and disabled drivers would be Adrian Flux, so they are worth trying separately to the comparison sites.

    thank you both for your help I will have a look on both comparison sites and Facebook and reach out to them

    and I have my fingers crossed @Sara thank you it will be the making of him and give him the independence he should have
