hi, will getting taxis on my own to hospital appointments affect my mobility pip claim thanks ?

No it won't. It's not as if you've said you can only walk 20 metres and are out walking a few miles each day.
The DWP do accept that as a disabled person, your disability will in general, vary. -

The mobilty component has two parts, planning and following journeys and moving around. Whether using taxis affects your claim will depend on why you use them.
Can you give us some more detail as to why you use taxis ?

hi, thankyou for your reply , but i did say i could only walk up to 20 metres at my assesment, as the assessor asked how would i get there without support thankyou.

as i cannot drive on my medication thanks.

As you are claiming for the moving around component the use of a taxi is not relevant. more so would be the distance that you walked to the assessment

hi, oh i see ..social services took me to my assessment and it was less than 20mtrs that i had to walk thanks.

Assessors and tribunals will take the need to take taxis as evidence that someone cannot use public transport.
