Hi both myself and my husband are exempt from council tax but our 18 year old daughter (19 in June) who lives with us has just started an apprenticeship earning £7.55 per hour and working 37.5 hours a week. How much if any council tax will she be liable to pay? Thanks

    Council Tax Reduction is decided on at a local level and each local authority has different rules for this meaning it's very hard to advise on individual cases from here.

    Your local authority website might have a calculator to estimate your new CT liability, or a local welfare rights organisation who is familiar with the local rules can advise.
