in PIP, DLA, and AA
Does mental health issues,ie,anxiety,agoraphobia,effect your entitlement to the mobility component of PIP..

    @Jonald58. i would say that if you have those things then you are unable to plan and carry out a journey alone so yes that should count for the mobility component, check it out with a benefit adviser though .

    Yes @Justice is correct but from my experience it has to be a long term  mental health condition preferably that you have had properly diagnosed and had treatment for with specialist mental health medical practitioners. My assessor said "Although she is diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression she doesn't have medication and has no specialist input". This was her reasoning for no mobility score for planning a journey. However both parts of the statement were false and were overturned at MR stage but only to 4 points for needing prompting to go anywhere. Of course every case is different but the stronger your evidence the better. They do not accept people with no evidence who just say they get anxious when they go out.

    Hi all just going through my assessment at the moment for my care plan local authorities are asking me to contribute my enhanced mobility money towards my care package for travel expenses can they make me do this

    @carl1970 I have never heard of this happening before, Wildlife is right, get some qualified advice fast, if they are not right in doing this then take them to task , please let us know the answer :-)
