We’re looking for disabled young people to speak to Journalists

We’re looking for disabled young people who might be open to speaking to journalists ahead of the release of the Milburn review in spring 2026 (likely between March and May). The review is an independent investigation into the rise in youth economic inactivity.

We’re hoping to identify someone who:

  • is a disabled young person aged 18–24 (25 could also work if their experiences are recent)
  • is not currently in education, employment or training, or has only recently entered one of these after facing challenges
  • may be comfortable speaking to a journalist, sharing photography, and having their real name shared

    i'd totally be down for this if it was paid and the upper age limit was 30 years old. Thanks to circumstances beyond my control (both personal and covid), I wasn't able to enter sustained work when i finished uni. still struggling with the same issues now, effectively putting me in the same position as 18-25-year-olds today. the younger generation are so deeply cooked regarding jobs, especially disabled young ppl.
