"free" to sell on eBay?
If the ads are true and it's free to sell on eBay, why have they been bugging me via email since last week for seller fees? Even though both my currently listed items haven't sold yet and it's unlikely they will?

Hi,
Have you chosen any optional extras in the adverts?
Listing normal private items is free but you can choose to pay for extras.
It's also not free for business accounts, but I assume you don't have a business account?

I wonder if it's the bit where they add the selling fee to the actual item, which means the buyer pays not you and ebay get the fee?.

I did pay a small price to promote both items, but other than that it should be free to sell.

I would cancel the listings and then relist them again. Make sure there are no chargeable extras or promotions. I sold a lot on ebay last year and didn't pay to list or sell any of it so something odd has happened with yours.
