Cant relax
Everyday im on high alert its like a life sentence that ive been trying to escape from for years i feel like im drowning with no escape i try to distract my mind but it constantly on a loop running in the back ground seeing posts on here commenting how alot of people go to doctors and fake mental health ??? How do you fake severe mental health with a lifetime of proof of real life avents like some people who do suffer from MH are less deserving i see the way humanity is going and iys not good really when i seen those comments on here full blown conversations calling people out do you see comments on here from people mocking people with phsycical disabilitys saying thier pretending to walk with a stick or being in a wheelchair doesnt effect your cogtive mind im hiding in my room come on here and read all those insensitive comments makes me feel ten times worse some comments should be private between people no one is less deserving yes some people have higher needs and more support but think of the people reading those comments especially with all welfare reforms coming up and how worthless mental health makes you feel its impounding and damaging and i personally think it needs to stop on a disabled forum its vile

Hi Catherine.
Bearing in mind that blatant insults are quickly moderated and removed on this forum....
There came a point in my journey when I realised that the same way people didn't understand my situation, I didn't understand theirs.
So I called a truce with everyone.
It is not my responsibility to educate people about who I am, any more than it is their responsibility to educate themselves as to who I am. Likewise, it is not my responsibility to educate myself about them, or for them to educate me about who they are.
When I came to that understanding - that we don't understand eachother - it was ironically very freeing.
Truce. It's not peace. Rather, it's a decision to not do battle. It saves so much energy. Trying to have everyone understand you, or for you to understand everyone, is an impossible and unnecessary and exhausting battle. IMHO.
I hope you find that helpful.

You're welcome. My anxiety is through the roof today too. And yesterday. I stayed inside yesterday and will again today. There are so many dragons I need to slay when I step outside my door. Need to catch my breath...

Hope you don't mind me sharing this from the other @StarryEyed but felt it was appropriate here 😊 I'm sorry you're both feeling so anxious. I hope it eases soon and that you can get cosy under a blanket with a cup of tea.

There's nothing worse than seeing people who know nothing about certain medical conditions.making silly remarks, That's why I'd never share an opinion about a condition I had zero knowledge of.
It's almost impossible to fake mental health problems on a long term basis.
I've been having tests for months for a series of symptoms we now have a few answers but due to the stress, fear etc from all these symptoms and tests my 3 severe anxiety disorders which were well controlled spiralled to a level again recently that it took over my life causing more symptoms, panic attacks and damage to my nervous system so bad the GP initially thought I may have Parkinson's disease.
what happened was the excessive long term fear of my real symptoms cause a massive over excitement of muscles and nerves which were tremoring, shaking twitching and causing dropping of items, falls and mimicking neurological conditions.
Anxiety is vicious, very real and you can't fake that or depression I'm now on venelafaxine and the anxiety is under control for now.
so never let politicians or anyone else call you fake or describe insidious conditions as "mild" just because they're not visible.

I totally agree, Catherine. Mental health can be just as disabling as a physical disability and should be taken just as seriously.
