What Super Hero costume to wear on Sunday?
I'm going to my third Comic Con this year on Sunday, at Doncaster Dome, can't decide what to wear though?
Options are:
Mark from Battle of the Planets
Shazam (DC Comics)
Superman (DC Comics)
Batman (DC Comics)
Harry Potter (if it comes in time)
All the Super Hero costumes come with big long capes (can't fly obviously, and even I'm not daft enough to actually attempt that) and look pretty cool.
What do you think? Obviously I don't have permission to do a Poll (Mods?)

My vote would go to the hero and outfit you like the most because whatever you're wearing typically looks better if you love it, because your presentation of an outfit is the most important as to how it looks IMO. And even if no one likes it, you'll enjoy yourself, and that's even more important.
I've never been to one, but Comic-Con came to my city for the first time last year and it's coming again in the fall. It looks like a hoot. I'm thinking of going.

Go for it! It's a laugh! Even when you've got almost no chance of winning the Cosplay Masquerade against cute kids and people in elaborate costumes.

Oh yeah, I could never compete against cute kids or elaborate costumes - or really anything alluring or interesting. Lol! It's just about getting out of survival mode, as I was just saying in another thread. Everything has been so frikkin serious for too long. I need to shake it off! This sounds perfect. What did you dress as the other two years?

The last one I went to last month up in York, I went as a custom made Angel costume, blue leggings, white top, big white feathered Angel wings (couldn't fly obviously)

It's hilarious how you've pointed out twice now that you can't fly. Like really? 😁
What's coming here is called the San Diego Comic-Con.
A custom made angel? Fantastic!! So people can either go as known superheroes or make anything up? I used to love dressing up for Halloween parties. Just loved it. But I'm guessing this is a whole other level of dressing up. Yeah?

I vote Superman! Do you have a favourite costume @SheffieldMan1976?

I have a few favourites Mary, such as that Pelican costume I bought last year, looks great with the massive wings and big feet.
I also have an inflateable Eagle costume with a large head and also has massive wings, I'm just trying to sell it on eBay though because I wore it in Liverpool in January and had a bad fall because I couldn't see out of the head, ended up in the local A&E with a suspected rib injury.

I shouldn't laugh @SheffieldMan1976 but just did that you couldn't see out of the head. 'The Eagle has landed' comes to mind 😊😅. Very glad you weren't seriously hurt though! Reminded me of when I was the designated driver on a pub crawl dressed as a mermaid, that was very restrictive having to shuffle along from pub to pub 🤣.

Meh, I can't help being short for my age, like Barney on the Flintstones (except without the hot wife)

This made me laugh @SheffieldMan1976 😂
The pelican costume sounds great. I bet it's so much fun getting dressed up.
My vote is Batman but definitely consider what the weathers going to be like. You don't want to be sweating in that thing all day.

I get it @SheffieldMan1976 ...I don't have the long legs that any self respecting mermaid should have 🫠😊 I agree with Holly and would go as Batman.

Please let us know what you do decide to go with @SheffieldMan1976!
Just realised it's at Donny Dome. If you get yourself on the skating rink it might look a bit like you're flying 😅

Ha ha, no chance of that dear, back in the 80s my Brother broke his arm Skating at the Rink on Queen's Road, put me off for life.
Still not decided yet, although it'll probably be either the Shazam costume or the new Batman I got for my birthday yesterday.

Aww bless him! Fair enough, that sounds quite traumatic so no wonder you're put off for life.
Happy belated birthday for yesterday @SheffieldMan1976 🎉🎂
