Using AI for benefit advice

AI has quickly become a tool that supports us in many areas of life. But it's important to remember that the information it provides isn't always accurate.

With the changes to Universal Credit, for example, information may be outdated, or intended for residents of a different part of the UK.

So if you use AI to answer questions about your benefits, it is really important to check trusted sources as well. Unfortunately it doesn’t always give the right information, or tell you everything that you need to know.

Always check your AI search results directly with a trusted source to make sure you have all the information you need.

I use AI mainly for video, song and 3D model creations, I'd never ask it a serious question due to the mixed results.

I don't know what it is.

I wouldn't even know how to use it.

If you Google anything, there is often an AI generated 'overview' right at the top above all of the links now. It happens automatically so people may not even realise they're using AI.

Google is ok @Catherine21. You've just got to be careful of the AI overview at the top which can be quite sneaky. It looks as though it pulls all the important key points together but it can pull from so many different places on the web and not all of the places are reliable so it's always best to go in to a website (somewhere you know and trust) to make sure it's correct 😊

This what it looks like when you search for something, this may pop up at the top. On DuckDuckGo it doesn't always do it and you can switch it off and it's doesn't track you or show annoying ads like google. You can change your search provider in your web browser settings
